New In-World Store!

Back again, and I have a new inworld store finally, at San.

The clothing products are up, not had the space or time to add the office furniture yet. Some more items have gone up on the Marketplace too.

Some Products Available!

Yay, some of our products are now available on the Second Life Marketplace.

Of course SL being SL, none of my stuff migrated from SLX/Xstreet to the new Marketplace as promised, so I'm having to rekey in the data and upload the pics again.

I've had a few technical problems since I am using a different computer to where all my stuff is, and had to download from SL the vendor pics of the products, but many were 256s which the marketplace does not accept. However I've now managed to get the original Photoshop files off an external hard drive and save them as new 512s.

So there are now a handful of products avaiable, and I'll be adding more over the next few days until all are available once more.

Products unavailable

Okay, I've had a bit of time to explore in-world, and as expected, all my stores are gone. I will be listing some stuff with SL Marketplace soon, now that I've got a handle on the SLX/Xstreet and OnRez merger with SL. Sadly Virtual Starry Night, an excellent gallery of Van Gogh's work, has bitten the dust. And of course the FirstMeta MetaCard, a virtual credit card, has gone too. The pic has a link to the announcement.

I'm not on a phenomenally fast machine, but after a glitch where my avatar was all stripes (which seems to have cleared, so it must be a SL bork rather than my machine) I should be able to do some editing and creating.

And there is some stuff in the works about possible new in-world shop locations.

New look to the blog

Well, here is a new look to the blog with the whizzo new template builder on Blogger. I've now checked most of the links here, but have not yet changed all the in-world or online store links until I've been in and sussed exactly what is happenning following Linden Labs acquiring Shop OnRez and SL Exchange. The former certainly has disappeared off the face of the earth, the latter still exists until the Second Life Marketplace takes over.

So pretty much none of the products will be available, but I will, when I can get reasonable in-world access, try and restore the products, but there will be some rearrangement and discounting, with lots of new product ideas to come, so stay tuned!

I'm Back...

Well, sorta. Been away with all sorts of problems, lack of employment, loss of internet connection, blown power board etc, but once I find my feet again, things should be back to, er, normal. Loads of ideas to come, but I also have to check what has changed in SL over the last 2+ years :-o

Be aware I haven't yet checked any of the inworld stores, but I know the magic boxes disappeared from most locations, before most of the web sites also died, merged, or got eaten by Linden Labs.

New product: Apple style wireless Mighty Mouse

Well, I needed a computer on my desk, and I have a computer anim from Bits & Bobs. Since I have an iMac in real life, I chose an iMac in SL (in fact I have several lol) but all the mice were poor. So I made this, and have it positioned nicely for the anim. And I thought I'd share it for the Mac users out there. Enjoy!

Get it in-world at my stores, or online at:

The latest additions to our range are a set of Oleander T-Shirts, based on an original photo by Montana Corleone:

The others are false colour images of this shot in Orange, Green, Red and Yellow:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! I think most of you should have been through it by now. I was partying most of the night at the SLX New Year's Party, so we saw in a number of New Years' around the globe :) 2008 is going to be such a good year!

Join our group!

We have now set up an in-world group, called appropriately enough, Mode Provencale (group names cannot contain accented characters, thank you Linden Lab). It's open enrolment and free. We don't aim to make it heavy traffic, but for announcements, info and news, and new products releases, plus, from time to time, some exclusive bonuses and freebies for group members.

Fashion Show pictures

Tillie, from the model agency Avenue Models, has posted a slideshow of pics from the Twin Towers Grand Opening and Holiday Fashion Show here. Thanks Tillie! She was also one of the models in the show. The Mode Provençale designs are mostly at the beginning, just after the catwalk shots and before the menswear, picture 13 onwards.

This is Kira Paderborn from Avenue Models modelling yet to be released Sunflower Belle:

This is how I see it being worn:

And it will also be available in black, as Café Belle:

Pretty sexy I hope!

Fashion Show at Twin Towers Mall

Mode Provençale's first Fashion Show is taking place at our new Twin Towers Mall location, a Fashion Show for the Grand Opening of this new mall. A slight delay, but it is now getting underway. See you there!

Welcome to the Mode Provençale blog !

Hello and welcome, or should I say Bienvenue (French) or Bènvengudo (Provençale), to the Mode Provençale blog. We've been around over a year in Second Life, now up to 166 products, mostly t-shirts and photo art with a few odds and ends like jackets.

But Mode Provençale is about to grow. We have more clothing coming: skirts, outfits, shirts and dresses with more coming as time goes by. And not just clothing, but office furniture too. Coming very shortly, once we have finalised the packaging design, will be a range of office desks, chairs, server racks, shop shelving and display racks.

We have opened two new stores: at Twin Towers Mall in Piagra, and in Acrocorinth on the QM&S Mall, literally just metres away from our old main shop in that sim. Both are modern look clean lined and have fittings to match. Twin Towers is the bigger of the two, and will have the furniture on the terrace. We are on the top 4th level of the small tower. Together with our shop and art gallery in Provocative Paradise, that completes the line up of stores in Second Life.

In order to help us get the message and info out, we will be setting up a new Group in Second Life for fans and staff. This is a very exciting time for us, as we finally move towards creating what we had in our initial goal, and we hope these new products and initiatives will be of interest to you.
